One of the greatest enemies of man is fear.
Fear has hindered so many from reaching their fullest potentials, it may come in these forms; fear of failure, the fear of losing comfort, the fear of losing it all. For those who aren’t afraid to reach their fullest potentials they may be battling with the issue of procrastination.
I know the saying “procrastination is the thief of time” seems to be a cliché, but it has never been far from been true.
The problem in addition to this, is that, people struggling with procrastination fail to understand the value of time, first as a gift and as a non-renewable resource, the most vital ingredient of any plan in life.
There is not much to this, if you are not passionate enough then you may just be missing one of the most important ingredient for your success. Passion builds determination- determination to succeed at whatever your ambition is. There is no force greater than the force of the human heart determined to succeed. You need to want it so much, and that’s the only thing that can help you be on your toes. So for whatever you want to succeed at, you need to be passionate about it, if you not, then it’s not what you should be trying to be great at, find what you truly are passionate about and make greatness from it!
Great people who have in some way added great value to this world never waited for “the perfect time” to start doing what they needed to do to achieve their dreams and ambitions. From Richard Branson, who suffers from dyslexia, who struggled in school, couldn’t meet up with academic requirements, but all these obstacles never stopped him, regardless he was determined to succeed and today he ranks as one of the richest people in the UK. The well- known Bill Gates lost it all at a point, he had troubles making a success of his first company Traf-O-Data. The first device he made for sale which was supposed to read traffic tapes and process data was a failure, but that did stop him from trying harder to succeed and today he runs one of the biggest technology companies in the world, Microsoft. There are so many more inspiring stories of great men and women and the challenges they were met with but they never let those challenges derailed them for one day and that’s why they record the success they do.
What is your excuse? what are your challenges? Don’t let them stand in the way of you and your greatness, whatever your passion or ambition are to become great, don’t be afraid to start your journey now.
